Real data on your company, free

Find out whether AI names your company

I put real buyer questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews, then send you a recorded walkthrough of who got named and why. Nothing to install, no call required, and you keep the findings whatever you decide.

Each check is run by hand, one at a time. Expect a reply within five working days — if the queue is longer than that when you submit, I will tell you rather than leave you waiting.

Your details are used to run the check and reply to you, and for nothing else. No mailing list, no automated sequence, and never passed to anyone else. How your data is handled

What comes back to you

  • The exact questions I asked, written out, so you can re-run them yourself any time.
  • Where you were named, where you were not, and which competitor was named instead.
  • Which sources earned the citations, plus whether your pages are readable to a crawler that does not run JavaScript.

Two honest caveats. Answer engines are non-deterministic, so this is a snapshot of one run on one date rather than a permanent score. And it is a diagnostic, not a sales presentation dressed as one — if the answer is that your visibility is fine and you do not need help, that is what the recording will say.

What is an AI visibility check?

An AI visibility check is a manual test of whether your company appears when a buyer asks an AI assistant for a recommendation in your category. I write a set of questions the way your buyers would actually ask them, run them across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI Overviews, Gemini and Claude, and record what came back: who was named, who was cited, and which source earned the citation.

It costs nothing, there is no obligation attached, and the findings are yours to keep and re-run.

Why it runs on your company rather than on a case study

Because a diagnostic on your own category answers the only question that matters to you, and it answers it in about the time it takes to read a proposal. Industry averages describe a market; five engines answering questions about your specific category describe your position in it. If the finding is that your visibility is already strong, the recording says so, and the correct outcome is that you do not hire anyone.

What is checked

  1. Named or absent. Whether your company appears at all in the answer, per engine.
  2. Cited or merely mentioned. Whether one of your sources is attached as the citation, which is a different and more valuable thing than being named in passing.
  3. Which surface earned it. Your website, a listing, a directory, or a third-party page.
  4. Who was named instead. The competitive set as the engine currently understands it, which is often not the set you would have named.
  5. The rendering test. Whether your pages' content exists in the HTML without JavaScript — the single cheapest check with the largest consequences, since no major AI crawler executes JavaScript (Vercel and MERJ, December 2024).

Two things it is not

It is not automated. I run each one by hand, which is why there is a queue and why the questions are specific to your business rather than generated from a template. Expect a few working days rather than an instant report.

It is not a permanent score. Answer engines are non-deterministic: the same question can return different answers on different days and to different people. A single run is a snapshot with a date on it, and the recording says so. Anything that presents one run as a permanent measurement is overstating what one run can show.

What happens with your details

They are used to run the check and send it back to you. There is no mailing list on this site, no automated sequence, and nothing is shared with anyone. The full detail — what is collected, the lawful basis, how long it is kept and what you can ask me to do with it — is on the privacy page.

Where to go next

If you would rather understand the discipline before requesting anything, the service it belongs to is getting found when buyers ask AI, and the method behind it is published in full.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI visibility check really free?

Yes, and there is no obligation attached. The prompt set and the findings are yours to keep and re-run whatever you decide afterwards. It is run manually rather than by a tool, so the constraint is my time rather than your budget, which is why there is a queue.

How long does it take to get the check back?

A few working days. Each one is run by hand across five engines and recorded as a walkthrough, so it is not an instant report. If the queue is longer than usual you will be told when you submit rather than left waiting.

What do you need from me?

Your company name, your website, a work email, one line describing what you sell and to whom, and optionally two or three competitors you would expect to be named alongside you. The description is what the buyer questions get built from, so specificity there makes the check considerably more useful.

What if the check shows my visibility is already fine?

Then that is what the recording says and you should not hire anyone. A diagnostic that only ever concludes you need help is a sales presentation wearing a lab coat, and it would be obvious on the second one.

Will my details be added to a mailing list?

No. They are used to run the check and send it back, and for nothing else. There is no list, no automated sequence and no sharing with third parties.
